Mar Garcia Arenas has a PhD Degree in History (Universidad de Alicante, 2011), her main research about diplomatic relations between Portugal and Spain against the Society of Jesus (1759-1773). As an FCT postdoctoral fellow in CHAM, she developed a project about the diplomatic relations between the Iberian monarchies since Teatry of Madrid to Teatry of San Ildefonso (1750-1777), through correspondence and reports from ambassadors, a research which is in historiographical trend analysis of empires, partly associated with Atlantic history.
